Tuscany Cycling FAQs

1. General Information

What is Tuscany Bike Route?

Tuscany Bike Route offers self‑guided and guided cycling journeys on carefully scouted, lesser‑known roads in Tuscany. Riders receive curated GPX files, local insights, and access to a digital community for a true “guided by an old friend” experience.

What does “self‑supported” mean?

Self‑supported means you carry or rent your gear, manage your own pace, and choose your stops. We provide all route planning, digital guides, and on‑route support, but you cycle independently.

How long are the routes?

Routes range up to 500 km total, broken into daily segments—perfect for multi‑day adventures without overwhelming distances.

Who can join?

Our routes suit a variety of abilities. We offer varied difficulty levels—from rolling hills ideal for beginners to challenging terrain for seasoned cyclists.

2. Services & Resources

What digital resources are included?

Every package includes GPX routes (short and full), a digital guidebook, and post‑ride digital scrapbook with your best photos and a completion badge.

Can I rent a bike and gear?

Yes. Through our partner, Tuscany Cycle, you can rent gravel or road bikes, panniers, helmets, and more. Rentals are optional and can be added at booking.

What on‑route support is available?

We offer a human‑powered support hotline reachable 24/7. Sole d’Oro Package offers also support along the route.

Is insurance included?

Every package comes with a basic insurance that will refund you in case we will not be able to provide services due to insolvency. Medical or travel insurance is not included.

How do I book and pay?

Book online on our website. See all the options at https://tuscanybikeroute.com/tours-list-view-tuscany-bike-route/

Changes depend on availability and package rules. Base and Mid packages are non‑refundable; Premium allows date change with the cancellation fee. Please contact support.
