Company Story

Tuscany Bike Route is more than a tour company — it’s a family legacy. Since 2000, my father has been guiding private cycling tours and working as a professional cyclist. In 2013, he opened Tuscany Cycle, which became one of Tuscany’s most trusted bike rental and touring companies. Tuscany Bike Route was born as the natural next step — a way to offer curated self-guided adventures that combine authentic culture, local connections, and our family’s deep cycling expertise.

Founder’s Story – Riccardo

Riccardo grew up in the Tuscan countryside, long before he explored its roads on a racing bike. He spent years guiding tours and racing in Italy and abroad. From that experience, he expanded Tuscany Cycle into Tuscany Bike Route — the next step in his family’s story.

The goal is simple: give riders the freedom to explore alone, with the comfort of local support. Free, but never alone. By the end of the decade, Riccardo wants every cyclist in Tuscany to ride safer, lighter, and freer on routes built from a lifetime of local knowledge.
